Background
Bob has over thirty-five (35) years of public accounting experience. Mr. Eyer has six (6) years of national firm experience where he worked on Fortune 500 audit engagements before returning to the area.
Professional and Industry Experience
Bob joined Wessel & Company in 1975 when the firm had seven (7) employees and the highest level of technology used was an electric typewriter. Bob became managing partner in 1982. Under his leadership, the firm survived the 1980s where our region experienced the highest unemployment rate in the country. During the 1990s, the firm developed the structures and strategies for growth that positioned Wessel & Company for a bright future in the next century.
As managing shareholder, Bob has embedded the firm's culture of passion for client service, driven the firm's commitment to community service and development of future community leaders. He and other members of the firm have hold leadership positions in many not for profit organizations that are so important to the quality of life in our region. The firm has received state wide recognition for its community service by receiving the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs Public Service Award in year 2002 and recently has been selected as one of the 100 Best Places to work in Pennsylvania.
